(PixiPets are a nostalgic nod to the virtual pets craze in the late 90s and early 00s. Their designs are inspired by Tamagotchis, Giga Pets, anime, pet sites and Y2K aesthetics. They are sold as blind boxes, which unlock 2 screens and character art when purchased. New traits and species may be added as the designs evolve over time. Their creator is Retro, an artist inspired by nostalgic aesthetics and their own childhood from the mid-80s to the mid-00s. They are still an avid toy collector, and can be reached any time under the name Retro at Toyhouse. They enjoy old anime, terrible movies, cooking, drawing, pet sites and worldbuilding.
